HDFC Bank launched an initiative to plant one lakh trees in 3 districts of #Uttarakhand. This activity is part of #Parivartan, the Bank’s umbrella brand for all #Environmental, #Social and #Governance (ESG) initiatives. The announcement was made at an event organised at #Rishikesh & the drive was inaugurated by Smt Baby Rani Maurya, Hon’ble Governor of #Uttarakhand & Mr Sanjeev Kumar, Branch Banking Head - Uttarakhand, HDFC Bank, in the presence of other Government & Bank officials. The drive is aimed at improving the environmental degradation in the recent years in the state. HDFC Bank has on-boarded 50 Business Correspondents (#BC) in #Uttarakhand. Customers can now avail the same banking services available at the local #bank branch or #ATM through these Business Correspondents. The BC #network is an extension of its #branches, enabling the bank to take its services to the remotest parts of the country. This move will help #customers from both #rural as well as #urban areas to access a bouquet of #banking facilities right at their doorstep.
