HDFC Bank signed an #MoU with the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (#MSME) Department of #Odisha to promote & mentor the start-up #ecosystem in the state. Through this, #startups can avail end to end banking solutions. The MoU was signed at an event in #Bhubaneshwar by Mr Reghu G, Director, Industries & CEO, Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, Odisha & Ms Smita Bhagat, Country Head, GIB, e-commerce & startups, HDFC Bank in the presence of Mr Navin Patnaik, Chief Minister - Odisha and other senior officials present at the event. HDFC Bank launched myApps, a suite of white-label apps that will enable large institutions like urban local bodies including #Smartcities and #municipalities, as well as housing societies, clubs, and even religious institutions to completely digitize their #ecosystem. In an industry-first, the #bank will offer a customized app as a free, value-added service to its suite of banking products. Through myApps, members will be able to make #payments for utilities & fees, make e-donations, online bookings, and stay updated on the latest announcements. The app can also be used to broadcast notices & engage with members on various events. myApps allows institutions to completely customize the look and feel of the #app with their own branding and content. These apps are a part of the Bank's strategy to boost digitization by focusing on providing value beyond basic banking services and taping into the B2B2C space. Over time the bank will extend this strategy to even more segments. HDFC Bank remains upbeat about its #wholesale business at a time when most #lenders are looking to grow their #retail business. In the second quarter of the current financial year, the proportion of Wholesale versus Retail was 48 % to 52 %. The bank seeks growth within its established risk parameter.
