HDFC Bank announced the launch of #Saveathon, a run with a noble cause, in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The Saveathon aims to create awareness about an issue that is staring humanity in its face: #WaterScarcity. Participants can choose from 5 km & 2 km run formats and take a pledge to #SaveWater. Scheduled for Sunday, March 8, 2020, the Saveathon will be flagged off from the NTR Stadium. Mrs C. Anuradha, Municipal Commissioner, Guntur and Mr Rama Kumar, DSP Traffic, Guntur Urban will be the Guests of Honour. “Citizens can also help save water, by following simple routines like turning off taps when not required and rainwater harvesting. HDFC Bank Parivartan launched a social responsibility project at #Pokhran, #Rajasthan, in partnership with Urmul Trust. This is a part of our Holistic Rural Development Program (#HRDP). HDFC Bank Parivartan today announced the successful completion of its Holistic Rural Development Programme (#HRDP) in 11 villages in the #Yavatmal District of #Maharashtra. This initiative has enabled us to ensure that 1,927 households get access to #water for #drinking and #farming. We have also provided these families with training in new and improved #agriculture practices which will enable them to generate higher income. We partnered with Sanjeevani Institute for Empowerment & Development to implement HRDP in Yavatmal. The project started in 2016 and has transformed the #villages of Manjarvaghal, Pathrad, Amla, Nibhora, Dhotra, Sonurly, Eklara, Vatkhed, Bargadgaon, Walinagar, and Shrirampur. “Through HRDP we are creating an ecosystem to improve the overall #economic and #social conditions in #rural #India. Our #NGO partners play an instrumental role in planning and executing projects.
